Balloch
on the south of the loch is a pretty large town, so if your
looking for peace and quiet, this is not the place to make a
booking. However it does have a good selection of restaurants
and pubs, a supermarket as well as a rail link to Glasgow.
The villages
on the loch all have different characters, such as Luss which
was the main filming are for "Take the High Road", and which has
now become a great venue for marriages. There are few venues so
close to a city (Glasgow 20 minutes by car) with such stunning
scenery.
