Tarbet Loch Lomond

Tarbet is a small village on the west of the loch where the main road north splits, one going to Oban and Campbelltown, the other to Crianlarich and the north west. The village of Arrochar on Loch Long lies just a couple of miles to the West which also offers accommodation when visiting this area. Travellers have the choice of visiting by train as there is a station serving both here and Arrochar.

Bed and Breakfast / Guest Houses  -  Hotels  -  Self Catering / Hostels / Camping

Between the two villages there are plenty of walks, climbs and boating activities to keep the average visitor busy for a prolonged stay. Within reasonable travel distance by car there are many day trips that could be planned to provide a change of scenery or tempo.

The Lochs of Lomond and Long are very different, particularly as Loch Long is a sea loch. Fishing opportunities abound for both fresh water and sea water angling and there are boat hire facilities.
